Serial casting is the mainstay of non-operative care. Application of the cast is similar to that of metatarsus adductus casting , but the heel is held in neutral to slight varus. Successful non-operative treatment would constitute improvement of foot appearance and reasonable correction of radiographic features. Cast treatment for skewfoot is longer duration than that needed for metatarsus adductus. The benefit and long term outcome of casting for skew foot is not well defined.
